M.A.M. Movies, an independent youth organization founded to produce and promote inspiring independent cinema, launched a film club on 2nd October to celebrate Gandhi Jayanti with the children living on the streets. The celebrations were enhanced by the screening of Salaam Bombay, a film by Mira Nair, along with the presence of ace actor Raghubir Yadav, one of the main characters of the film.

The idea of M.A.M. Movies was conceived by film-makers Madhusudhan Agarwal and Meghna Banker in California. They have also made their first feature film Khwaab in the U.S.
