Salim-Sulaiman to teach music

Music composers Salim and Sulaiman Merchant will now be teaching music as well. The two brothers, who gained fame with their background scores for films like Bhoot, Ab Tak Chhappan, Darna Mana Hai, Dhoom and Being Cyrus among others, will be teaching electronic musicians. They will be conducting their course for musicians and sound engineers at School of Audio Engineering. Their course will mainly deal with teaching electronic musicians about the new software which are available in the market and also how to use them to create good effect. It is an advanced level course of three month duration and one needs to be a practicing musician to enroll for it.

The musician duo, Salim-Sulaiman, say that it is due to lack of proper training that the quality of music is been falling down these days. When asked how they'll manage to give time to the institute as they are quite busy these days, the duo said that they will manage to get time out for teaching. They say that this is their way of giving back to the industry that has given them so much in past few years.
