The musical trio of Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy have proved their metal yet again with the top charting numbers of Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna. 'Mitwa' is one track that is surely conquered the hearts of many.
"We were in Goa composing the track and we wanted an exotic voice for the song. Shankar once heard Shafqat Amanat Ali's song 'Ankhon Ke Sagar' on radio and was quite impressed with his voice. He immediately texted his friend and RJ Tarana for the singers name. We wanted to work with Shafqat since then for something really big and 'Mitwa' happened," says Ehsaan Noorani who feels Shafqat was the right choice.
Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna is the trios second innings with Dharma Productions, the first being Kal Ho Na Ho that was declared as one of the biggest musical hits of 2003. The music gurus have a lot more to offer to their fans with releases like Farhan Akhtar's Don and Shaad Ali's Jhoom Barabar Jhoom to name a few.
