After
winning
the
hearts
of
people
in
major
parts
of
the
world,
Yash
Chopra's
Veer-Zaara
cast
its
magical
spell
in
Europe.
After
positive
reactions
from
the
German
media
at
the
55th
Berlinale
Film
Festival
last
year,
the
film
was
released
in
German
language
to
an
unprecedented
response.
Veer-Zaara
was
premiered
on
April
26
at
The
Grand
Rex,
the
biggest
cinema
in
Paris.
With
a
seating
capacity
of
2,800,
The
Grand
Rex
has
projected
films
for
more
than
one
million
spectators
for
over
half
a
century.
Veer-Zaara
is
the
first
Hindi
film
to
ever
premiere
at
this
prestigious
venue.
The
premiere
was
attended
by
the
crème
de
la
crème
of
Paris
society
and
French
media.
From
India,
the
stars
of
the
film,
Shah
Rukh
Khan,
Preity
Zinta
and
Rani
Mukerji,
joined
Yash
Chopra
on
the
occasion.
It
also
marked
the
commencement
of
the
Bollywood
week,
which
witnessed
a
number
of
films
from
India
being
screened
for
French
viewers.
These
included
D.D.L.J.,
Mohabbatein,
Kabhi
Kabhie,
Kuch
Kuch
Hota
Hai,
Dhoom,
Swades,
Lagaan,
Bhoot,
K3G,
Kal
Ho
Naa
Ho,
Dil
To
Pagal
Hai,
Sholay
and
Black.
Most
of
these
films
will
then
be
released
across
France
theatrically.
The
three
stars
of
Veer-Zaara
also
visited
Virgin
Mega
Store
to
meet
their
fans
and
French
media
and
also
participated
in
autographing
the
Veer-Zaara
CDs
and
selected
DVDs
of
their
respective
films.
