the

has
issued
a
statement
to
the

to
this
effect.
"The efforts, money and time invested in making the film are all mine. The multiplexes are exempted from paying taxes, they charge the consumer up to 200 rupees per ticket and yet they walk away with the larger share of revenues. My point is very simple; give us a fair deal and then play our films.
This is a matter of principles and I shall hold my ground no matter what. It is important to fight for what one believes in. One may win or lose, but it's important to know that you continue to fight for your principles.
Bapu always believed that when you fight with the right intentions, victory shall come your way though it might take its time. I shall appeal to the audiences to support this cause and show the multiplexes that a good film will be watched and appreciated; multiplexes or no multiplexes."
