    Waaris Shah gets screened at IFFI

    The Punjabi Film Waaris Shah - Ishq Da Waris got screened at IFFI 2006 in Goa. The stars of the film which includes Juhi Chawla, Gurdas Maan and Divya Dutta got a red carpet entry to the fest. Also present at the screening were producers Manjeet Maan and Kashmir Gill. The film was screened as a tribute to the director of the film, late Manoj Punj who died following a cardiac arrest only a week after his film was released.

    All the stars of the film remembered director Manoj Punj in their speeches. Divya Dutta said that "Manoj wanted this film to be sent to the Oscars and the film did get sent this year." She added that "At this screening, he might be sitting among us here in the hall smiling and feeling happy."

    Other stars present at the screening were Suresh Oberoi and Nafisa Ali.
