When I was a young boy, I was told many fables. One of which was about angels -good ones and bad ones.

These angels kept an account of every good and bad act a person did, and on the day of judgment, a detailed account of the person's entire history would be presented in front of God.

Another year passes by, and I come around to thank those very special people who form the moral centre of my universe - my sisters. Today, I reinstate my vows to protect and love them unconditionally till kingdom come.

My dear sisters Farah, Simone, and Sussanne, I wouldn't know where to start from to thank you guys but here it goes...

Thank you for loving me so unconditionally.
Thank you for helping me in my hour of grief.
Thank you for cushioning me on the days I would upset mum and dad.
Thank you for lending me your ear when no one else was listening.
Thank you for bailing me out of bad decisions.
Thank you for accepting me for what I am, with all my faults and failures.
Thank you for telling me I was stupid when I was arrogant and foolish, when I was bull-headed.
Thank you for showering me with so much love that one life time would not be enough to pay it back.
Thank you for telling me nothing is impossible, thank you for wiping my tears and hearing my sorrows.
Thank you for understanding me even when you didn't.
Thank you for being my guardian angels.
I only hope that I can measure up to be yours with the same sincerity.
I love you'll very much.

Happy Raksha Bandhan!

Your brother,
Zayed
