Aamir refused to be part of Om Shanti Om

Unlike what is being perceived, Farah Khan had approached Aamir Khan for the mother-of-all item song in Om Shanti Om, which features around thirty top Bollywood stars of the last few decades.

In fact, it was Farah's desire to bring Sanjay Dutt, Shahrukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan and Saif Ali Khan, together on-screen for the first time ever.

However, Aamir Khan pleaded his inability to shoot for the film, saying that he was busy shooting for his directorial debut venture, Taare Zameen Par. He added that his participation in the song would delay not only Taare Zameen Par but also his new film, which is a remake of Ghajini.
