If
Amita
Mangat,
daughter
of
producer
Kumar
Mangat
thought
she
would
be
celebrating
her
birthday
with
pomp
and
merry,
then
she
was
completely
wrong.
Amita who makes her acting debut in her father's production Haal-E-Dil probably the biggest gift she'd ever have received. Her debut film went on floors yesterday, and the young gal was quite excited over this.
"My father is putting a lot of effort and I'm really glad to be in his film. In the beginning he thought that I wasn't serious about this and would eventually switch onto other professions. But when he realized that I'm really into this, he took me seriously and made me work hard for this", said she.
The young girl is leaving no stones unturned to give her best in her debut. She said," I have done my acting course from Kishore Namit Kapoor acting academy and have trained under Om Katare as well. I have learnt dance from Shiamak Davar. I know Kathak, western dance, salsa and jive. I know quite a few languages including Urdu."
On asking her about her association with the Devgan family she immediately brightens up. "The Devgans are family. I have grown up in front of them and they will always be there for me."
Incidentally Anil Devgan, Ajay Devgan's cousin is directing Haal-E-Dil. With two flops (Raju Chacha, Blackmail) behind him, wasn't she nervous about his past records. "I think luck is a very important factor in everybody's life. I know he has a capability of doing something and proving himself", said she confidently.
Another young starlet to watch out for. Here's wishing her the best of luck.
