Anil to produce Nana's directorial debut

Anil Kapoor will be producing Nana Patekar's directorial venture. The actors reunited on the sets of Welcome 18 years after Parinda and started off again with their great working chemistry. Their film will be launched after Anil"s film Short Cut, starring Akshaye Khanna and Arshad Warsi, is completed.

When asked about his plans, Anil treads cautiously, “It"s too early to talk about it but yes I would love to produce and act in a film with Nana. There have been talks but we have not decided on the genre as yet.

Not only is Nana one of the most experienced actors I know but he is also very knowledgeable about filmmaking."

Anil is more forthcoming about the acting offers he"s getting with Nana, “Ramesh Sippy has offered us a film, but I liked Anees Bazmee"s idea another hilarious comic-action film."

Anil plays an emotional gangster, Majnubhai in Welcome and the preview audiences have given him a thumbs up. Anil laughs, “Initially my role was called Shaka but I changed it to Majnubhai.

AK adds, “Gangster roles come very easily to me as I used to observe such guys when I lived at Chembur. We were seven family members who shared one common toilet with the rest of the people. I knew all the Munnas of that area."
