Anu Malik is filled with joy after he composed music for a Pakistani film. Anu's dream came true when Gulzar asked him to compose music for the Pakistani film titled Tere Liye. Gulzar has written the lyrics for the film while the film is written by Javed Siddiqui.

When Gulzar called up Anu Malik to compose the music of the film, it was an offer which he could not turn down. This is the first time that Anu composed music for a Pakistani film. The first song was recorded by Sonu Nigam and Alka Yagnik which is a love ballad. Malik says that when he heard the story of film, he decided that he will do all seven songs of the film as it had good scope for melodious tracks. Anu was however, touched when Gulzar praised him after hearing the music of the film. Receiving compliments from Gulzar is a huge deal for him says Malik.
