Arjun banks on The Last Lear for success

Arun Rampal the actor, as opposed to arguably the best looking model-turned-actor, is on a high these days. The reason is obvious. His latest movie, Om Shanti Om, is a blockbuster and has so far netted close to 76-crores, in just three weeks from India.

Coming back to Arjun, the first indication of his acting prowess was noticed in the vintage Amitabh Bachchan starrer, EK Ajnabee, where Arjun impressed in the company of the superstar of the millennium, Amitabh Bachchan. He followed it up with a good and subdued performance in Farhan Akhter's 50-crore superhit, Don-The Chase Begins Again.

However the best was yet to come. And with his superb negative (yet highly sophisticated) portrayal in the 'Diwali' extravaganza, Om Shanti Om, Arjun has truly arrived in a big way and has shut up all his detractors. But that is not all. OSO will be followed by the already critically acclaimed, THE LAST LEAR, starring Amitabh Bachchan and Priety Zinta and Meridian.
