Arshad's comic timing seems to be just right. He's all set to join Ajay Devgan in another comic romp, this one titled Sunday, to be directed by Rohit Golmaal Shetty.

So has Arshad made peace with his comic avatar? "I'll do the ones that turn me on. I've heard the script of Sunday and I love it. The characters are very interesting. But I can't say I've a parallel role. Sunday is Ajay's role... I'm getting solo-hero offers, but not good enough. If I get the right solo-hero project it would be a piece of cake for me. Honestly I hope I don't end up doing only supporting roles in 2007. I'm pretty clear about not doing small roles. I was offered the role that Chunky Pandey finally did in I See You... Okay, don't give me leading men's roles. But at least do justice to me....like Sunday isn't a lead. But it's a well-defined role, and I like working with Rohit Shetty. But there's no doubt Sunday is Ajay's film. I need to do solo films. I'd like to do a solo hero film with Yashraj Films. UTV is keen to cast me."

Arshad is happy with Kabul Express. "I knew it'd never be a Munnabhai. It was a very bold and brave film. The recognition it got was good enough. I'm thankful to Kabir (Khan) for casting me in a pivotal role, although some reviewers think I'm still a sidekick in Kabul Express."

Hardest scene in Kabul Express? "Singing main zindagi ka saath nibhata chala gaya along with Mohd Rafi Saab. I'm such a bad singer; I just pretended to be singing along."

"2007 was finally a good year for me. It took me eleven years to get there. To be very honest there wasn't much to do between the first Munnabhai and the second. But now after Lage Raho...Munnabhai I'm rocking and rolling. Producers are offering me respectable role. I expect to play parallel roles, if not the main guy. Unfortunately I don't believe in camps and loyalties. Earlier when there was a bigger hero he'd say, 'Arshad ko nikalo. Kissi aur ko lo.' Nowadays I'm not pushed out when the bigger hero doesn't want me. He changes. Thank God for Ajay, John and Sanju who are ready to willing to work with me."
