Asha sings for Himesh

At one point, it seemed as if a war of words had begun between Asha Bhosle and Himesh Reshammiya and it would only end when Asha had swung one across Himesh!

He had dared to defend his nasal singing by citing the example of Asha's late husband, Rahul Dev Burman, who Himesh said, used to do the same. This infuriated Asha who threatened to slap him. But all seems to be well now.

As is well known, Asha's temper flares up as easily as it recedes when she is placated, and accorded due respect and offered apologies. And Himesh is just the kind who thinks nothing of bowing to Asha's musical genius.

It must have been easy for them to make up and it is great that they have done so, for the result is a song that Asha has sung under Himesh's baton for his Aap Ka Surroor!
