Is Bips getting distracted?

Saif Ali Khan has recently been going through a rough phase in his life. He recently suffered a severe artery blockage for which he was hospitalized and more recently the actor broke-up with long time Italian girlfriend Rosa.

Well, Saif is keeping his mind off stressful things with work. Saif's co-star actress Bipasha Basu who stars with him in Abbas-Mustan's Race too has seen some tough times recently what with boyfriend John being linked to all his co-stars like Vidya Balan and Mallika Sherawat. The two stars Bips and Saif shot extensively out of the country for their film Race, naturally the two have become close friends and seem extremely comfortable around each other.

However, tinsel town rumours claim that Bips and Saif may share more than friendship and have linked the two stars romantically off-screen. More fuel was given to the rumours as John is currently out of town on a shooting schedule and also because Saif and Bipasha have been spotted spending time together.

Bipasha admits to going out with Saif, but regarding the link up with him says, "It's crazy, we're colleagues in Abbas-Mustan's Race and we get along very well. I've been out with Saif for dinner just once and that too for half and hour. If that's a reason for rumours to start, then so be it."

Moreover, during the 'Koffee with Karan' show, Bips had made an innocent statement that if she was not seeing John, she may have been attracted to Saif. Well however now that Bips is being linked to Saif, she perhaps regrets making that statement. Bips feels that all these rumours surface just because John is out of town and she says, "Just because John is out of town so much, people think they're free to jump to conclusions about the status of our relationship."

However, Bips claims that she misses John a lot, now that he is down south shooting for an outdoor schedule, but she intends to join him soon and then perhaps all the rumours will be put to rest.
What is, however, adding to speculations that all is not well between John and Bips is her recent appearance at a fashion event with ex-flame Dino Morea.

However Bips claims that was an appearance just for designer friend Rocky S and she says, "It was only because John was out of town. The minute I drove in with Dino without my car following us, I knew tongues would wag, let them."

Bipasha seems unconcerned about her link up with Saif or her appearance with exflame Dino Morea she feels that gossip and rumours will always be there. Meanwhile she is all geared up and working hard on her rehearsals for her performance at the IIFA 2007.
