Katrina Kaif ties rakhi on Arjun's wrist

It"s interesting how relationships blossom in Salman Khan"s khandaan.

While Sallu"s kid sister Arpita has been dating Arjun Kapoor (Boney and Mona Kapoor"s son) for the last three years, now his girlfriend Katrina Kaif has made Arjun her rakhi brother.

Interestingly, Katrina has six sisters and one brother back home in the UK!

Says a source close to KhanKat, “On Raksha Bandhan (August 28), Katrina accompanied Arpita and Alvira to the Jodhpur jail where Sallu was housed for the rakhi ceremony.

Nobody knows that Katrina bought a rakhi from Jodhpur keeping Arjun in mind. The day Salman was back home and everyone was relaxing, Katrina suddenly brought out the rakhi and tied it on Arjun"s wrist, saying 'You are my rakhi brother from today." It was a very sweet gesture."

It"s personal

Needless to say, Katrina"s gesture totally overwhelmed Arjun. “He was touched and became very emotional. He"s very close to Kat, Sallu and his family.

Arjun said though he couldn"t give her a gift right away, he could gift her a script he has written and plans to direct soon," adds the source.
When asked about this, Arjun only says, “I"m sorry. It"s a very personal thing and I can"t talk about it."

Katrina is more forthcoming. She says, “Yes, it"s true. I have known Arjun for three years and we are good friends."

But when asked about the friend-turned-rakhi brother, Kat says, “That"s personal and I am not comfortable talking about it."

Hit combo

Career wise, Katrina"s recently signed Vipul Shah"s Singh Is King opposite Akshay Kumar. Their previous venture together — Namastey London — was a huge hit.

“It"s a natural thing for me to be in Vipul"s film because the team was successful in Namastey London. I enjoy the atmosphere on Vipul"s sets as we can talk for hours and he never gets annoyed! It will be nice to be back on the set with Akshay, as it"s been over a year since we last shot together," says Katrina
