Mira Nair directs a 21-minute film

Mira
Nair,
the
acclaimed
Indian
director
has
many
projects
lined
up
for
this
year.
She
was
in
Mumbai
to
promote
her
latest
film
The
Namesake
and
finalise
Amitabh
Bachchan
for
her
next
project
Shantaram.
She
is
also
shooting
for
a
film
apparently
centered
on
the
life
in
Mumbai
"It's
a
film
on
AIDS
called
The
Migration
written
by
Zoya
Akhtar.
It
features
Irrfan
Khan,
Sameera
Reddy,
Shiney
Ahuja
and
Raima
Khan.
It's
a
21-minute
film
and
it
will
take
nine
days
to
shoot.
But
that
doesn't
mean
I'm
working
any
less
hard
on
it
than
I
did
for
The
Namesake
or
would
do
in
Shantaram.
A
film
is
a
film
no
matter
what
its
length." Earlier
she
had
approached
Vidya
Balan
and
Priyanka
Chopra
for
the
same
project.
Mira
is
planning
to
shoot
The
Migration
on
6
Feb.
"Mumbai
is
a
city
I'm
totally
familiar
and
in
love
with.
I've
returned
to
say
Salaam,
Bombay!"
chuckles
the
effervescent
director.
