announced
its
entry
into
the
Home
Video
market.

Baer
launches
101
popular
Hindi
titles
at
the
price
of
Rs.
28
for
VCDs
and
Rs.34
for
DVDs.
The
event
was
attended
by
Bollywood
celebrities
like
Javed
Akhtar,
Shabana
Azmi,
Sameer,
Lalit
Pandit,
Suchitra
Krishnamurthi
and
Sadhana
Sargam.
Earlier Moser Baer had launched Tamil, Malayalam, and Kanada films on Home Video and now, it has ventured into Bollywood titles. Its Hindi titles include Baazigar, Khakee, Aankhen, Vaastav, Ghayal, Betaab, Biwi No.1 and Qurbani. The company has also launched new film Kudiyon Ka Zamana on VCDs.
According to, Harish Dayani, Chief Executive, Entertainment Business, "This initiative represents an excellent opportunity to leverage our optical media strengths in patented and proprietary technology, capacity and costs enabling us to offering high quality titles at very attractive price points between Rs 28 - Rs 34 for VCD/DVD. I believe that at these price points, consumers will finally have a chance to 'Own Bollywood'."
The company plans to distribute films in such a way that they reach to the every movie buff of the country. The stocks will be available in around 100,000 outlets, including stationery shops, telecom shops and regular audio and video outlets.
