After
the
success
of
the
Munnabhai
and
Hera
Pheri
sequels,
the
two
brand
titles
have
become
the
hottest
sellers
at
the
turnstiles
and
also
the
hottest
competitors
between
each
other.
Neither
of
the
two
producers
Vidhu
Vinod
Chopra
nor
Feroz
Nadiadwala
are
not
taking
any
chances
with
the
next
Munnabhai
and
Hera
Pheri
films.
Raj
Kumar
Hirani
and
his
writer
Abhijat
Joshi
have
decided
to
put
the
next
sequel
on
hold
to
work
much
harder
on
the
script
of
the
third
part
of
the
Munnabhai
series.
Since
the
third
part
of
the
Munnabhai
film
is
set
in
the
US,
the
third
segment
of
Hera
Pheri
has
undergone
a
sea...or
shall
we
say,
see
change.
Earlier
to
be
titled
International
Hera
Pheri
and
to
be
shot
entirely
in
the
various
parts
of
the
world,
the
third
Hera
Pheri
is
now
simply
called
Hera
Pheri
Part
4
and
will
be
set
entirely
in
Mumbai.
Says
a
source,
"When
producer
Feroz
Nadiadwala
heard
that
the
next
Munnabhai
film
will
be
shot
in
the
US,
he
immediately
took
his
actors
Akshay
Kumar,
Suniel
Shetty
and
Paresh
Rawal
into
confidence.
They
all
decided
that
the
flavour,
fervour
and
humour
of
the
Hera
Pheri
series
comes
from
its
local
Mumbaiya
flavour.
Plans
to
make
International
Hera
Pheri
were
dropped.
Instead
the
team
has
moved
on
to
the
fourth
part."
Adds
the
source,
"Shooting
slick
comedies
abroad
has
become
very
boring,
Hera
Pheri
gets
its
energy
from
its
local
milieu." One
thing
is
for
sure.
The
war
between
the
two
series
has
now
reached
a
flash
point.
Which
will
emerge
the
bigger
winner?
Everything
will
depend
on
how
well
the
third
part
of
Munnabhai
and
Hera
Pheri
are
received.
