Discounting the possibility of dubbing her much -awaited film, The Namesake which releases in India on March 23 into Hindi, Mira Nair says, "It is half in Bengali and half in American English. I don't want to flatten it all out into one language. In the case of Monsoon Wedding which we dubbed into Hindi, the linguistic leap worked. It won't work in The Namesake."

But Mira will dub The Namesake into the South Indian languages, like Tamil. "We'll preserve the American-English. And the Bengali will be replaced by Tamil.etc" Does this make business sense to Mira Nair? "It should to somebody. I just make successful films. Paise mere paas waapas nahin aate. But I don't mind, as long as I've the money to do what I want to do. That's my definition of success."
