Prashant
Raj
is
one
of
the
promising
entrants
in
Bollywood
this
year.
Introduced
by
RGV,
Prashant
received
decent
reviews
for
his
performance
in
Ram
Gopal
Varma
Ki
Aag,
despite
the
film
failing
at
the
Box
Office.
Not
many
know;
that
Prashant"s
next
film
is
also
ready
for
release.
Prashant"s
second
release
will
be
Toss
and
is
set
to
release
in
December.
Produced
by
Mukesh
Ramani,
this
film
is
based
on
human
relationships.
Toss
marks
the
directorial
debut
of
filmmaker
Ramesh
Khatkar,
who
has
worked
with
Ram
Gopal
Varma
as
a
chief
associate
director
in
films
like
Jungle
and
Company.
The
script
and
dialogues
have
been
written
by
Khatkar.
Toss
also
stars
Ashmit
Patel,
Aarti
Chabbria,
Mahesh
Manjrekar,
Sushant
Singh,
Rajpal
Yadav,
Ranveejay
Singh
and
a
new
girl
Madhurima.
Speaking
about
the
title,
director
Khatkar
says,
“Toss
is
basically
a
flip
of
destiny.
It"s
a
symbolic
title.
It
doesn"t
give
away
the
story
but
when
you
will
watch
the
film
you
will
realize
that
the
title
is
apt
for
the
film." He
further
explains
that
there
are
five
story
tracks
in
the
film
but
there
is
no
parallel
cut;
in
fact
all
the
characters
are
intermingled
with
each
other.
“There
are
very
interesting
characters
in
the
film
and
they
will
make
you
laugh
and
cry
simultaneously.
The
climax
of
the
film
is
open
ended."
adds
Khatkar.
Prashant
Raj
who
plays
the
lead
role
in
Toss
says,
“Toss
is
basically
on
the
lines
of
a
family
drama.
It
is
a
very
real
story,
rather
real
undercurrent.
It"s
relevant
to
today"s
generation.
My
character"s
name
is
Samay."
Prashant
has
no
qualms
about
his
first
film,
RGV
Ki
Aag,
in
which
he
played
Raj
Ranade
inspired
by
Amitabh"s
character
from
the
original
film
Sholay.
“I
have
got
some
decent
level
of
appreciation
from
the
critics,
so
I
am
quite
happy
with
that.
Film
didn"t
work
but
that
wasn"t
in
my
hand.
I
got
a
chance
to
play
Mr.
Bachchan"s
role,
which
he
played
in
Sholay.
For
me
it
was
a
once
in
life
time
opportunity,
so
there
are
no
qualms"
he
quips.
Coming
back
to
Toss,
Prashant
is
quite
confident
about
his
second
film.
“Toss
has
a
very
interesting
storyline.
I
am
sure
people
would
really
enjoy
watching
this
movie"
says
Prashant.
Toss
has
been
entirely
shot
in
Goa
and
will
be
releasing
in
December.
The
music
of
the
film
has
been
composed
by
new
music
directors
Sidhant
and
Suhas.
