A
few
days
ago,
grapevine
abuzz
that
except
beautiful
Priyanka
Chopra,
the
entire
cast
of
Don
would
be
retained
in
the
Don
sequel
and
Priyanka's
role
to
be
replaced
by
another
beauty
queen
Sushmita
Sen,
is
now
declared
baseless.
The
latest
development
is
that
Priyanka
Chopra
will
be
playing
the
lead
actress
of
Don
sequel.
Director
Farhan
Akhtar
and
Shahrukh
Khan
has
showed
their
eagerness
to
make
Don2
after
Don
remake
fared
well.
The
sequel
is
expected
to
be
much
more
lavish,
spectacular
and
gorged
with
special
effects.
The
film
will
compete
with
the
high
tech
movie
Dhoom
and
Krissh.
Planning
for
the
Don2
sequel
is
going
on
full
swing.
To
remake
Don
came
to
Farhan
Akhtar's
mind
when
he
was
traveling
in
a
train
from
Delhi
to
Dehradun.
He
began
writing
the
script
with
Hrithik
Roshan
in
mind.
But
thinking
about
Amitabh
Bachchan
and
the
high
expectation
of
the
audience
he
choose
to
cast
Shahrukh
instead
of
Hrithik.
By
remaking
Don,
Farhan's
long
time
wish
to
pay
tribute
to
his
all
time
favourite
actor
Amitabh
Bachchan
has
been
fulfilled.
Though
the
Don
remake
had
Done
a
mediocre
business,
but
Shahrukh's
role
was
being
appreciated
a
lot.
The
film
gave
a
strong
competition
to
Janemaan
which
was
released
then.
It
notches
highest
ever
Diwali
opening
in
UK
and
UAE.
Kareena
Kapoor
jived
at
the
song
Yeh
Mera
Dil
produced
the
same
seductive
effect
as
that
of
Helen.
This
is
the
first
time
that
any
filmmaker
will
conceive
and
execute
a
remake
to
a
sequel.
He
will
have
to
get
into
the
original
screenwriter's
(Javed
Akhtar)
head
to
imagine
where
the
plot
that
might
have
been,
if
the
plot
were
to
be
carried
further.The
budget
and
the
locations
for
Don
2
will
be
far
more
spectacular
than
the
first
part.
Dates
for
Shahrukh
and
Priyanka
have
been
finalized
for
early
next
year.
Time
will
tell
how
successful
would
be
Farhan
Akhtar's
Don2.
Let's
wait
and
see
whether
it
will
be
able
to
break
Amitabh's
old
record
and
create
a
new
record.
