Looks
like
it
is
raining
Kapoors
this
season.
Yet
another
Kapoor
showcases
his
creative
skills,
and
he
is
none
other
than
Aditya
Kapoor,
son
of
Shammi
Kapoor
and
Geeta
Bali.
Unlike
his
young
nephew,
Ranbir,
Aditya
is
more
comfortable
behind
the
camera.
Baltidevi
is
Aditya's
first
Bollywood
project.
And
the
leading
lady
is
none
other
than
(hold
your
breath)
Rakhi
Sawant!
Apparently,
she
was
always
his
first
choice.
"When
I
saw
her
on
Koffee
With
Karan,
I
was
impressed
with
her
outspokenness.
I
just
approached
her
and
narrated
my
script.
She
was
in
tears
and
said
the
story
is
very
similar
to
events
in
her
life," Aditya
recalls.
He
has
not
yet
decided
on
the
male
lead.
The
movie
will
go
on
floor
some
time
in
December
this
year.
We
ask
if
the
Kapoor
khandaan
will
be
present
at
the
muhurat.
"Of
course," Aditya
says,
"But
it
is
too
early
to
tell
you
who
will
be
invited."
We
wonder
what
his
equation
with
his
kin
is.
Well,
we'll
find
out
soon
enough.
This
is
Aditya's
fourth
film
as
a
director.
His
first
was
a
comedy,
Don't
Stop
Dreaming,
and
was
released
last
May
in
the
UK
and
the
USA.
Cousin
Rishi
Kapoor
stars
in
his
second,
Sambar
Salsa,
releasing
on
September
21.
Shamal,
his
third
film,
is
also
the
first
English
film
produced
in
Dubai.
It
is
slated
for
a
release
later
this
year,
or
early
next
year.
