Rohit Roy to make his directorial debut

Nowadays many television actors are quitting Tellywood for Bollywood and Rohit Roy has also joined the bandwagon. Few years back he marked his debut as an actor but this time he will be seen behind the camera. Rohit is working on a script called Rice Plate that will be based on the theme of communal strife.

Rohit is all set to direct Sanjay Gupta's forthcoming film. He is also directing one of the stories of Dus Kahaniya, Part 2. According to him he always wanted to be an actor and director, but due to his commitment towards television he was unable to give time to movies.

It is also believed that Meghna Gulzar had offered interesting roles to Rohit and his wife Manasi for her forthcoming film Just Married. But due to his busy schedule they couldn't make it. The duo will now be seen together in Sanjay Gupta's semi-autobiographical Alibaug.
