Sympathy
for
actor
Sanjay
Dutt
seems
to
be
growing
by
the
day.
And
at
least
two
politicians
have
come
out
in
the
open
in
support
of
the
actor.
Union
ministers
Kapil
Sibal
and
P
R
Dasmunsi
said
that
the
Congress
should
stand
by
the
family
of
Sunil
Dutt.
Dasmunsi
had
earlier
said
that
all
efforts
must
be
made
to
go
for
an
appeal
with
the
Supreme
Court.
In
spite
of
the
controversy
caused
by
his
statement
on
Tuesday,
he
once
again
described
the
jailed
actor
as
a
patriot.
"I
will
go
to
jail
with
a
garland
when
Dutt
is
released," said
Dasmunsi.
Kapil
Sibal
also
said
that
support
should
be
given
to
the
family
when
it
is
in
trouble.
However,
AICC
spokesperson
Abhishek
Singhvi
has
chosen
to
keep
a
distance
from
the
case.
Sanjay
Dutt
has
begun
serving
six
years
imprisonment
meted
to
him
by
a
special
court
in
connection
to
the
1993
serial
blasts
case
that
killed
over
250
civilians.
The
court
has
convicted
him
under
Arms
Act
for
possessing
dangerous
weapon
AK-56
rifle.
Meanwhile,
Sanjay
is
going
to
move
the
Supreme
Court,
challenging
the
verdict
meted
to
him
by
the
TADA
court.
He
is
also
said
to
doing
fine
in
the
jail.
