Sanjay
Dutt,
who
was
sentenced
to
six
years
vigorous
imprisonment,
was
shifted
on
Thursday
from
Mumbai
Arthur
Road
jail
to
Yerwada
jail
near
Pune,
where
Mahatma
Gandhi
was
incarcerated
for
six
years.
On
his
way
to
the
new
prison,
the
actor
pleaded
for
prayer
from
his
fans.
"I
have
full
faith
in
the
country's
judiciary,
my
family.
Please
pray
for
me",
pleaded
the
actor.
He
has
been
sent
to
Yerwada
jail
in
spite
of
his
plea
to
stay
in
Mumbai
jail
due
to
security
reasons.
He
was
welcomed
by
huge
fan,
who
were
gathering
to
have
glimpse
of
him.
Now,
he
will
have
Abdul
Karim
Telgi,
prime
accused
in
the
multi
crore
stamps
scam
case
for
company
in
the
new
cell.
The
actor
has
begun
his
six
years
sentence
in
jail
in
connection
to
the
1993
Mumbai
serial
blasts.
A
special
court
had
convicted
him
for
possessing
an
AK-56
and
a
9mm
pistol.
