Exactly a month ago, this writer did the news-break of director Siddharth Raj Anand [Ta Ra Rum Pum] planning to cast actor Ranbir Kapoor in his forthcoming film, to be produced by Yash Raj. At that point of time, Siddharth had denied the development, but he confirms it today. "Yes, Ranbir is starring in my new film," he tells me.
The film will star four leading ladies and Siddharth is in talks with Preity Zinta, Bipasha Basu, Deepika Padukone and Amrita Rao for the roles in question. "I am talking to certain people, but it wouldn't be right to reveal their names till we sign them on the dotted line. I am not confirming any of those names right now," he smiles.
Siddharth's third film with Yash Raj, his previous two being Salaam Namaste and Ta Ra Rum Pum is expected to roll by the end of this year.
