Sonam Kapoor's next movie Delhi 6 with Abhishek

Her debut movie is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and a few days before its release she is offered a movie directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra opposite Abhishek Bachchan. Seems like a distant dream! But thats what has happened with Sonam Kapoor. Just days before the release of Bhansali directed Saawariya where she stars opposite Ranbir Kapoor, the actress will play the lead in Mehra's upcoming movie Delhi 6.

The script for the movie was narrated to Sonam and her dad Anil Kapoor and the actress committed on it immediately. The actress is believed to have been promised a handsome pay for the movie. Incidentally this is the first movie for Rakeysh after the tremendous success of Rang De Basanti.

The director took a lot of time in finalizing the cast and after considering Hritik Roshan, Akshay Kumar, Ranbir Kapoor and Siddarth he finally settled for Abhishek Bachchan. It is being rumoured that Kareena was considered for the female lead but the idea was dropped once Abhishek was cast in for the role. For now Sonam Kapoor can have no complaints with life.
