White Feather Films signs Suparn Verma

Suparn Verma is happy for White Feather Films. And no, it is not just due to the fact that their Shootout At Lokhandwala has opened to a bumper response all over. The good news for him is that he has been signed up by the company to direct a film.

"To say that I am thrilled would be an understatement", says the young film journalist turned scriptwriter turned director, "White Feather Films is just the right film making house to be associated with and I am looking at making the kind of film that is appealing both for me as well as them."

Does he have a script ready? After all he must be dying to get his next project started after Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena which came around one and a half years back. "Yes, I am kicked to begin this film though currently the concept has been finalized. The film is in the scripting stage and Shiv Subramaniam would be working with me on that. For dialogues, I may rope in another guy", he says.

When do we get to see the film? "As I said the film is currently being scripted. Even if I begin as early as possible this year, it should be reaching the theaters only in 2008. There is a lot expected to go into post production for the film."

Is it going to be another men-men movie, as has been the hallmark of majority of Sanjay Gupta films. "Yes, the proceedings would be dominated by men again and the maximum I can divulge right now is that it will be one high adrenalin action thriller," says an excited Suparn.

A high adrenalin action thriller?! Sounds exciting! What does he plan to name it? "Wait for it some more time", he chooses to keep the cards to himself, "But once it is out, it will be talked about a lot. Believe me, it has a kick ass title which by itself would generate quite a lot of buzz."

He can disclose about the cast of the film though, can't he? "I want to do that but the non disclosure agreement that I have signed doesn't allow me to do so", he laughs, "What I can tell though is that it is going to be a multistarrer with some of the best names in the business."
