Bollywood
news,
It's
been
nearly
a
week
and
actress
Tanushree
Dutta
is
still
glum
over
losing
her
cell
phone.
The
actress
was
in
Agra
recently
when
her
prized
possession
was
stolen
right
from
under
her
nose.
However,
Dutta
hasn't
been
as
lucky
as
actor-MP
Vinod
Khanna's
son
Saakshi,
whose
mobile
phone
was
found
hours
after
it
was
reported
lost.
Narrating the incident, Tanushree says, "I had gone to Agra for some work on April 16. I then drove down to Delhi on April 17 in a hired car. When I reached the airport and was checking in, I realised that my cell phone was missing. It then struck me that the phone must be lying on the car seat. While offloading my luggage, I forgot all about it."
After the discovery, the actress made frantic calls to her phone and to the travel agency that had rented out the car and driver. "When I tried calling my number, it had been switched off. It was the latest model from Nokia and I had bought it only recently. The travel agency tried contacting the driver but he didn't take their call. That's when I realised he must be involved. Why else would he disappear?"
The next thing Tanushree did was to block her SIM card. "I called up my mobile subscriber (BPL) and locked my handset as well as the SIM. Now that I have locked the handset, it will be difficult for anyone to sell it. I have a relationship manager from BPL, who was very helpful and took care of everything, including lodging a police complaint."
Dutta has now got a new phone but she's facing a major problem. "When my friends call, the first question I ask them is, 'Who is this?'I am on a borrowing spree now as all my old numbers have gone. I don't pick up unlisted numbers."
