Aftab excited about Aloo Chaat

Aftab has said yes to what he calls a very interesting funny and untried film. "It goes by the peculiar name of Aloo Chaat and I hope it turns out to be just as appetizing as the title suggests", laughs Aftab who has lately been lying low.

"It's being produced by Maverick Productions who're currently into Dulha Mil Gaya. Robbie Grewal who has made Samay and Mera Pehla Pehla Pyar is directing the film. His two films so far haven't done well, But that's okay. Even Rakeysh Mehra and Ashutosh Gowariker started with Aks and Baazi before they came to Rang De Basanti and Lagaan."

Aftab was kicked by the subject. "What enticed me to do Aloo Chaat, besides the title, was the script. The minute I heard the subject I was hooked." Also, the temptation of pairing up with a top TV actress who makes her big-screen debut. "I haven't seen much of Amna Sharif's work on television. But she seems very talented and pretty. Aloo Chaat is her film launch. So, I guess I've a larger responsibility towards the project."
