Shahrukh
Khan
has
Red
Chillies
(a
film
production
and
event
management
company),
and
Ajay
Devgan
isn't
far
behind?
Word
is
that
Devgan
has
been
quietly
building
up
an
event
management
company
through
his
endorsement
agency,
Carving
Dreams,
which
his
brother-in-law
Kiran
Gandhi
is
a
part
of.
Says
a
source,
"Ajay
has
been
associated
with
Carving
Dreams
ever
since
its
inception
(Carving
Dreams
was
created
by
Afsar
Zaidi
and
Neeraj
Bunty
Behl).
Ajay's
very
close
to
Afsar,
who
was
handling
his
endorsements
for
Globosport
and
when
Afsar
and
Bunty
formed
CD,
Ajay
went
there.
Ajay
has
roped
in
his
brother-in-law
Kiran
Gandhi
(his
sister
Neelam's
husband)
for
management
and
that
makes
the
core
team.
Ajay
is
the
silent
force
as
he
doesn't
want
to
come
into
the
limelight
but
he
has
been
urging
Afsar
and
Kiran
to
diversify
into
event
management
and
hold
big
international
award
shows
like
IIFA.
And
that's
why
today
CD
is
weaning
away
some
key
members
from
Wizcraft.
Joyita,
Simran,
Mehnaaz
and
Ankur
have
left
the
company
to
join
CD.
It
is
Ajay's
brains
behind
the
entire
venture,
keeping
Gandhi
as
the
frontman.
Apparently
even
his
business
manager
Kumar
Mangat
is
involved
in
the
venture."
It
all
happened
because
Ajay
wanted
to
form
a
separate
event
management
company
to
take
on
the
Moranis.
"The
Moranis
are
very
close
to
Shahrukh
and
have
been
handling
his
international
events.
Ajay
was
close
to
Andre
from
Wizcraft
and
was
even
planning
a
tour
with
them,
but
it
didn"t
work
out.
Since
then,
Ajay
had
a
problem
with
the
Moranis."
Ajay
Devgan's
spokesperson,
says,
"Ajay
Devgan's
brother
law
Mr.
Gandhi
is
not
involved
with
Carving
Dreams.
CD
manages
Ajay
Devgan's
endorsements,
brand
relationships
and
commercial
appearances.
Theirs
is
a
long-term
relationship
and
there
is
no
other
commercial
aspect
to
this
relationship."
Afsar
Zaidi
of
Carving
Dreams
however
admits,
"Ajay's
brother-in-law,
Kiran
Gandhi
is
working
with
us.
Carving
Dreams
is
diversifying
into
event
management
called
Carving
Dreams
Live
dealing
in
creativity,
innovation
and
magic
which
will
focus
on
events.
They
will
handle
events
and
shows.
We
are
still
in
the
planning
stages
and
will
launch
at
the
right
time
with
the
right
shows."
Zaidi
denies
that
Gandhi
is
the
CEO
of
CD
Live.
Zaidi
says,
"We
will
announce
the
name
of
the
CEO
in
due
course.
Kiran
is
not
a
director
but
handling
a
certain
part
of
our
operations.
CD
Live
is
mine
and
Bunty's
baby.
Ajay
is
not
involved
in
our
creative
decisions."
