And
so
the
tradition
continues...
The
actor
to
skip
Jumbo
release.
Will
be
away
performing
for
Carving
Dreams
Christmas
show
in
Hong
Kong.
No
matter
how
much
effort
and
hard
work
Akshay
Kumar
puts
in
all
his
films,
when
it
comes
to
the
release
of
his
films,
he
always
turns
superstitious.
Akki
is
always
known
to
be
away
from
India
when
his
films
release
as
he
feels
his
films
won't
do
well
if
he's
here.
For
his
last
release
Singh
Is
Kinng,
he
was
holidaying
in
Monte
Carlo
with
his
family
and
came
back
only
after
the
film
had
released.
So
come
December
25,
when
Percept's
animated
flick
Jumbo
(Akshay
has
dubbed
for
the
title
role)
releases,
he
will
be
performing
at
a
show
held
at
the
Convention
Centre
in
Hong
Kong.
Afsar
Zaidi
of
Carving
Dreams
Live,
which
is
organising
the
show,
says,
"Akshay
Kumar,
Bipasha
Basu,
Priyanka
Chopra,
Amisha
Patel,
Aarti
Chhabria,
Riya
Sen
and
Himesh
Reshammiya
will
be
performing
at
a
show
tentatively
called
Chandni
Chowk
To
Hong
Kong.
The
interesting
idea
underlying
the
show
is
that
each
actor
is
also
coming
up
with
his/her
own
concept.
Also,
as
the
show
is
in
Hong
Kong,
apart
from
the
acts
there
will
be
a
local
Kong
Kong
act
which
could
be
based
on
a
dragons
theme
as
it's
part
of
their
culture.
It's
Carving
Dreams'
first
foreign
show,
so
it
will
be
more
special."
Though
the
show
will
have
Akshay
and
a
bevy
of
five
beauties
coming
together,
the
grand
finale
will
be
performed
by
Akshay
in
his
inimitable
showman
style.
Afsar
says,
"Akshay
will
be
the
toast
of
the
show
and
currently
his
acts
are
being
put
together
by
him
and
Carving
Dreams
show
director
Simran.
There
are
a
couple
of
options
which
they
are
working
on
and
which
we
will
freeze
soon."
And
yes,
Akshay's
lucky
mascots
Katrina
Kaif
and
Kareena
Kapoor
were
also
approached
for
the
show
but
dates
didn't
work
out.
informs
Afsar.
"Akshay's
films
release
Chandni
Chowk
To
China
releases
next
month
and
it
makes
sense
to
talk
about
the
film
through
the
show's
title.
Promotions
are
on
and
it
makes
sense
to
have
a
connective
title
as
there's
already
a
buzz.
MTV
and
MSN
have
tied
up
with
us
for
promotions.
The
idea
came
from
them.
MTV
and
MSN
are
putting
up
show
information
on
their
web
portals
and
having
contests."
