Amrita
Arora
narrowly
escaped
severe
burns
while
shooting
the
now
famous
"Tha
Karka" song
of
Golmaal
Returns.
A
unit
source
told
us,
"The
song
was
shot
in
Filmcity,
Mumbai
and
the
set
was
like
this
huge
godown.
Arshad
and
Amrita
were
required
to
run
across
from
one
end
to
the
other.
There
were
tankers
all
around
the
set.
There
were
tyres
and
huge
empty
barrels
lit
with
fire
placed
at
intervals
on
both
side
of
the
set.
For
the
shot
Rohit
instructed
Arshad
Warshi
and
Amrita
to
run
and
jump
to
can
the
shot.
Here
one
had
to
be
careful
about
the
timing.
Rohit
told
Arshad
and
Amrita
that
as
soon
they
crossed
a
barrel,
they
should
jump
to
escape
being
harmed
from
the
explosion.
But
while
actually
shooting,
the
timing
went
wrong.
There
was
huge
explosion.
Thankfully
it
was
Amrita's
back
that
was
facing
that
barrel.
The
heat
and
fire
were
so
powerful
that
bunch
of
Amrita's
hair
got
burnt
in
the
mishap.
Her
skin
below
the
neck
turned
red
completely.
Arshad,
who
was
besides
her,
pulled
her
towards
him
on
the
nick
of
time.
Had
he
not
to
do
that
Amrita
entire
scalp
and
back
would
have
got
badly
burnt."
When
contacted
Amrita
confirmed
the
incident
saying,
"It
was
a
narrow
escape
seriously!
I
dread
to
think
of
that
situation
if
Arshad
had
not
saved
me.
But
quite
a
few
strands
of
my
hair
did
get
burnt.
My
back
turned
red.
But
occasional
accidents
are
a
part
of
this
profession.
I
was
completely
okay
with
it."
