Of
late
YRF's
impending
release
Bachna
Ae
Haseeno
is
creating
enough
buzz
among
audiences.
Because
of
its
foot-tapping
music
and
interesting
starcast
the
movie
has
become
the
new
talk
of
the
town.
But
one
more
thing
which
people
have
been
widely
raving
about
is
its
styling
and
clothing.
And
all
credit
goes
to
the
maverick
fashion
designer
Aki
Narula.
Delhi-based
prominent
fashion
designer,
whenever
on
board,
has
hit
the
marquee
with
his
incredible
designs.
Be
it
designing
for
Akshay
Kumar
in
Garam
Masala
or
Abhishek
Bachchan&Rani
Mukherjee
in
Bunty
Aur
Babli
or
Farhan
Akhtar's
Dil
Chahta
Hai&Don
or
Abhishek
Bachchan
starrer
Bluffmaster
or
Vivek-Ash
starrer
Kyun
Ho
Gaya
Na
or
the
most
recent
one
being
Kareena's
super
cool
styling
in
Tashan
(which
won
Aki
great
compliments
from
all
the
corners)
he
consistently
proved
his
mettle.
He
is
the
one
such
craftsman
whose
designs
always
created
Dhoom
in
fashion
bazaar.
We
have
been
observing
his
work
for
quite
some
time
now
and
are
equally
excited
for
his
upcoming
release
Bachna
Ae
Haseeno.
When
we
asked
about
Bachna
Ae
Haseeno's
styling
the
adroit
designer,
Aki
says
''Well
Bachna
Ae
Haseeno
is
a
very
real,
young,
contemporary
film
for
which
Siddarth
Anand
briefed
me
to
keep
it
very
vibrant,
very
trendy
and
hip.
And
the
good
thing
was
that
all
the
characters
came
from
a
very
different
space
particularly
the
3
girls&then
there
was
Ranbir
Kapoor
and
it's
like
a
dream
cast
to
work
with.
It's
looking
fresh
and
the
promos
are
also
looking
good.''
Aki
created
some
of
the
most
fabulous
designs
in
his
earlier
flicks
which
are
remembered
till
date.
So
how
Bachna
Ae
Haseeno.is
different
in
its
look
and
styling
as
compared
to
his
earlier
work
and
what
novelties
are
we
going
to
see
in
his
designs
this
time.
Says
Akki,
''It's
absolutely
different
from
any
of
the
other
films
that
I
have
done.
Also
most
importantly
I
work
very
closely
to
the
script
that's
very
much
important
for
me.
For
me
what
character
an
actor
is
playing
that's
more
important.
In
this
film
Ranbir
meets
3
girls
at
3
different
stages
of
life.
So
there's
Minissha
Lamba
who
plays
Mahi,
a
simple
girl
from
a
small
town
in
Amritsar.
Keeping
that
in
mind,
I
have
retained
the
Punjabi
element
in
dressing
Minissha
with
coloured
patyalas,
kurtis,
denim
jackets,
etc
a
complete
Indo-western
look,
very
young
and
fresh.
At
the
same
time
I
have
given
a
modern
look
in
that.
It
was
done
deliberately
because
I
wanted
to
keep
it
a
very
'Do
it
yourself
approach'
and
that's
exactly
how
fashion
catches
on
in
the
masses
for
e.g.
Babli's
Kurtas
in
Bunty
Aur
Babli
or
Shahrukh's
attire
in
Don
or
Kareena's
suspenders
in
Tashan
caught
up
the
demand
in
fashion
world
.
Talking
about
Bipasha
Basu;
she
plays
Radhika
who
is
very
independent
girl
from
Mumbai.
So
she
had
to
be
styled
like
an
independent
girl
living
alone,
and
my
inspiration
point
was
the
take-off
from
my
model
friends.''
Bipasha
happens
to
be
quite
experimental
when
it
comes
to
styling
and
looks.
She
is
one
such
actress
who
sets
her
own
trend.
Was
she
particular
about
her
styling
in
Bachna
Ae
Haseeno.
Was
it
easy
dealing
with
her?
''I
think
it
was
fantastic
styling
her,''
quickly
replied
Aki.
He
further
adds
''Also
there
is
a
mutual
trust
between
Bipasha
and
me,
so
you
know
when
there
happens
to
be
a
mutual
understanding
it
becomes
a
lot
easier.
It
was
great
fun
working
with
her.
She
is
looking
absolutely
stunning.
With
the
unique
face
and
body
like
that
and
on
top
of
that
the
kind
of
attitude
which
she
holds
I
think
it
makes
her
look
all
the
more
elite
and
gorgeous.''
How's
Deepika
Padukone
styled?
''Deepika
plays
an
NRI
and
she
is
a
taxi-driver
in
the
film.
So
her
attire
had
to
be
very
functional
to
the
kind
of
the
job
she
does.
So
we
took
a
very
practical
approach
for
her.
And
then
for
the
'Khuda
Jaane'
song
with
Ranbir
and
Deepika
I
have
added
a
lot
of
colour.
I
have
broken
the
myth
of
Short
with
sexy;
I
have
given
her
long
chiffon
dresses
with
lot
of
prints.
She
looks
like
a
diva
and
absolutely
gorgeous
in
that
song.''
Did
he
ever
felt
pressurized
working
with
3
dazzling
Haseenas
at
the
same
time?
''Not
really''
says
Aki
''I
have
worked
on
the
movies
where
there
have
been
2
actresses
like
for
e.g.
in
Jhoom
Barabar
Jhoom
there
was
Preity
and
Lara.
And
here
what
was
very
interesting
was
that
we
shot
the
movie
in
such
a
way
that
we
did
each
chapter
first.
Be
it
Ranbir-Deepika
or
Ranbir-Bipasha
or
Ranbir-Minissha.
So
every
schedule
was
almost
like
working
on
a
different
film
altogether
and
every
girl
came
from
a
different
background
in
the
movie
like
Bipasha
is
from
Mumbai
than
deepika
stays
abroad
while
Minissha's
styling
was
'Amritsari'.
So
in
all
it
was
a
very
different
approach
towards
working
with
each
actress
and
it
was
a
lot
of
fun.
What
was
challenging
is
all
3
are
different
from
each
other
in
the
film.''
Who
was
more
comfortable
to
work
with
on
the
sets
''All
of
them.
This
is
the
first
time
I
have
worked
with
Ranbir
and
3
gorgeous
girls.
Every
time
they
loved
my
ideas
I
came
up
with.
In
fact
they
were
pretty
excited
concerning
their
new
looks.
It
went
all
smooth
right
from
the
day
one.
Minnisha
has
never
worn
such
look,
so
this
would
be
something
new
for
her.
Bipasha
was
equally
thrilled
about
her
look.
Deepika
after
OSO
is
looking
refreshingly
different
in
this
film.
Yes
it
was
very
challenging
to
make
Ranbir
look
the
hottest
and
sexiest
thing
ever
in
the
film.
So
again
he
is
sporting
a
very
beguiling
look.''
Says
Aki
in
an
excited
tone.
