Karzzzz
is
currently
being
shot
at
exotic
resort-destinations
in
South
African
cities
of
Johannesburg
and
Cape
Town
on
a
wider
canvas
under
the
direction
of
Satish
Kaushik.
The
film
is
a
remake
of
showman
Subhash
Ghai's
blockbuster,
Karz,
of
1980,
in
which
most
of
the
characters
from
the
original
version
have
even
been
retained
in
the
new
version
also.
This
Himesh
Reshammiya
starrer
Karzzzz
has
debutante
Shweta
Kumar
opposite
him
in
the
lead
role.
Shweta
happens
to
be
daughter
of
renowned
film
maker
Indra
Kumar
while
other
star
cast
includes
Raj
Babbar,
Danny
Denzongpa,
Gulshan
Grover,
Bakhtiyar
Irani,
Urmila
Matondkar
and
Rohini
Hattangadi.
Besides
acting
and
singing,
Himesh
Reshammiya
is
also
responsible
for
scoring
the
music
of
Karzzzz.
The
film,
being
produced
by
Bhushan
Kumar
and
Krishan
Kumar
of
T-Series,
is
based
on
the
theme
of
reincarnation,
in
which
Himesh
Reshammiya
will
enact
the
role
of
Monty,
a
rock
star,
which
was
earlier
played
by
Rishi
Kapoor.
The
story
of
the
1980
all
time
hit
has
been
transposed
from
Ooty
to
certain
foreign
locations
and
in
a
totally
modern
idiom
with
the
production
budget
of
the
remake
version
ranging
between
250-300
million
rupees.
The
remaining
parts
of
the
much
talked
about
Karzzzz
will
be
shot
in
Kenya
and
Mumbai.
The
team
has
an
extensive
shooting
schedule
till
the
end
of
March.
