announced
the
launch
of
the
music
of
Khela,
the
film
directed
by
well
acclaimed
director
Rituparno
Ghosh.
Ghosh
has
contributed
to
serious
cinema
through
some
significant
hits
like
Dahan,
Utsab,
Chokher
Bali,
Ashuk,
Barivali,
Antarmahal,
Raincoat
and
Last
Lear.
The
music
of
the
movie
will
be
released
on
June
28
while
the
movie
is
scheduled
to
hit
the
theatres
on
July
11
2008
nation
wide
in
Hindi
and
in
Bengali
in
West
Bengal.
Khela
is
about
an
idealistic
director's
quench
to
make
a
film
with
a
boy
who
he
thinks
is
jut
perfect
for
the
role.
The
film
also
deals
with
relationships
and
emotions
but
with
a
twist
by
adding
up
humor,
adventure
and
edge-of-the-seat
mystery.
Rituparno
Ghosh's
previous
movies
dealt
with
intense
relationship
web
and
serious
emotions.
Rituparno
has
always
chosen
indoor
locations
to
shoot
his
previous
films,
however
with
Khela;
he
has
explored
shooting
outdoors.
Khela
is
Manisha
Koirala's
first
film
with
Rituparno
Ghosh
and
her
debut
in
Bengali
films.
The
music
of
the
film
is
composed
by
a
band
from
Kolkata
called
21
Grams.
Prosenjit,
Manisha
Koirala,
and
Raima
Sen
are
the
lead
performers
in
the
film.
This
is
Saregama
India
Ltd's
first
release
for
this
year.
The
