Life in a Metro dominates Screen awards

Anurag Basu's Life In A...Metro was one of the most critically acclaimed movie of the year gone by which had also had an added advantage of being a box office success as well. Boasting of a stellar cast comprising of Shilpa Shetty, Kay Kay Menon, Sharman Joshi, Konkona Sen Sharma, Shiney Ahuja, Kangana Ranaut, Irrfan Khan, Dharmendra and Nafisa Ali, this UTV film was one of the first success stories of 2007.

Now as the awards season kick starts, the film is getting its due with as many as 15 nominations across practically all areas, whether related to the film's cast, technical departments or music.

Laughs Pritam, film's composer, 'I guess the only areas which have been left are the Best Female singer and Best Choreography. Understandable since the film had all male vocals and also didn't require any elaborate song and dance sequences.'
