Why
is
Neetu
Chandra
continuing
to
go
'deglam'
is
a
question
that
a
section
of
media
is
busy
asking
her
ever
since
she
has
been
seen
as
a
lead
opposite
Abhay
Deol
in
last
weekend's
release
Oye
Lucky!
Lucky
Oye!
'She
is
just
not
being
competitive
by
refusing
to
put
on
make
up
when
her
contemporaries
are
busy
doing
a
lot
more
to
be
presentable
in
front
of
camera,'
sums
up
the
kind
of
accusations
that
a
few
out
there
are
hurling
on
the
young
girl,
who
is
looking
at
making
a
place
for
herself
in
the
industry.
Make
Neetu
aware
about
all
the
charges
and
all
she
does
is
laugh
and
feel
pity
on
those
well
wishers
who,
according
to
her,
seem
to
know
more
about
something
called
'characterization'!
But
isn't
she
worried
that
she
may
get
typecast
if
she
continues
to
have
a
non-glam
look
movie
after
movie?
"Four
of
my
films
have
been
released
so
far
and
I
guess
other
than
my
look
that
I
mentioned
in
my
three
movies,
the
fourth,
i.e.
One
Two
Three
was
sufficiently
glam
in
the
limitations
of
me
playing
a
cop.
And
is
that
all
you
are
going
to
see
of
me
in
future?
No,
right?
There
are
4-5
movies
of
mine
coming
in
2009,
so
rather
wait
and
watch
before
jumping
on
a
conclusion",
she
smiles.
She
refuses
to
be
drawn
in
the
debate
around
some
of
the
contemporaries
willing
to
drop
their
clothes
and
hit
the
sea
even
when
they
have
been
'kidnapped'
or
display
ample
cleavage
both
on
and
off
the
screen
or
magazine
covers
at
any
given
opportunity?
"And
where
does
that
thing
called
'acting'
disappear
amidst
all
the
cleavage
showing",
quips
Neetu,
"To
each
her
own.
At
least
stop
calling
yourself
an
actress
if
all
you
want
to
do
is
put
your
body
on
display.
When
I
come
back
from
sets
to
home,
I
at
least
feel
content
that
I
am
justifying
the
reason
I
am
here
in
the
industry
i.e.
'act'."
How
about
going
out
and
out
glam
in
a
role
that
also
allows
her
to
act?
"I
am
game
for
it
and
certainly
don't
have
issues
with
skin
display
but
at
least
give
me
a
reason
to
do
that",
she
replies
before
putting
another
disclaimer
in
place,
"But
no,
don't
make
me
do
that
just
for
an
'item
song' or
commercial
diktats.
I
refuse
to
be
pulled
into
that
situation
just
for
the
sake
of
it."
Well,
rightly
said,
as
long
as
you
can
get
the
character
right
and
still
manage
to
look
naturally
beautiful!
