Sachin Tendulkar finally enters Bollywood

Sachin Tendulkar is synonymous with cricket. He is perhaps the best batsman the world has ever produced. The world knows him and he is like God in India. But do you expect him to get into films? He is going to do the unexpected this time around by acting in a new Bollywood film.

Yes, the news is doing the rounds that he is making acting debut. He is going to do a cameo role in the film Vighnaharta Shri Siddhivinayak to be produced by the Siddhivinayak Temple Trust. And he is appearing as himself in the film. Sources from Tendulkar's office confirmed that he would start shooting for the film once India's tour of Sri Lanka is over.

Vighnaharta Shri Siddhivinayak is a film on Hindu deity Ganesh. So, Tendulkar being a devotee of Ganesh, agreed to act in the film for free. It is said that the cricketer regularly visits the temple, which is taken care of by the Siddhivinayak Temple Trust. The film will also have a voice over by superstar Amitabh Bachchan. It is scheduled to start shooting next month.

Now, the question is – will Tendulkar hit century in Bollywood? Even if not, he is sure to receive the blessings of Ganesh.
