Rajiv Gandhi Award for Saif, Lara, Darsheel

Saif Ali Khan had more reasons than one to celebrate over the weekend. While the actor brought in his birthday (Aug 16) with family and friends by his side at a bash hosted by beau Kareena Kapoor, he also added yet another award to his growing list of awards.

Saif Ali Khan was awarded the Best Actor trophy at the 11th Annual Rajiv Gandhi Awards 2008. The event, which took place at N.C.P.A. (Mumbai) yesterday (Aug 17) saw some rocking performances by top Bollywood stars like Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Rakhi Sawant and music composers Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. Besides Saif, other Bollywood personalities who walked away with the award included Lara Dutta (Best Actress) and Darsheel Safary (Child Prodigy).

The Rajiv Gandhi awards are held annually and honour people from different walks of life who have achieved excellence in their respective fields.
