Shabana Azmi promotes Tulsi in Azamgarh!

Well, sorry, but the extremely talented, multi–faceted intellectual actress, Shabana Azmi, is not promoting Tulsi Virani of the Kyunki... Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi serial! Actually, she was in her home town Azamgarh (Uttar Pradesh) last Sunday and was speaking as the chief guest at a function organized by a private company.

The versatile actress was talking about the benefits of Ayurveda and the healing properties of the sacred herb, Tulsi. She said that Tulsi has many healing properties and its regular use keeps the body free of diseases.

Talking about her home town and the recent accusations that it has become a hub for terrorists, Shabana came down hard and strong at the allegations and said that Azamgarh is a town, more famous for its intellectuals, writers and poets like her father Kaifi Azmi and world renowed scholars like Allama Shibli Nomani etc. And these are the people who have given it recognition and respect not only in India but also at an international level
