By Staff

There were tabloid reports that the Yash Raj banner film tentatively titled Hadippa starring Rani Mukherjee and Shahid Kapoor had been shelved because of producer Aditya Chopra not happy being with debutante director Anurag Singh's work on the film. There were also reports that Rani was ghost directing the film and the next schedule was being planned with Aditya Chopra taking over that film's direction. But now Yash Raj has come out with a clarification stating all these being baseless rumours.

Yash Raj's spokesperson states,"Anurag Singh's directorial debut starring Shahid Kapoor and Rani Mukherjee in the lead which is under production since July 2008, has been plagued with incorrect news reports from the outset. Yash Raj Films would like to clarify that the name of the film has not yet been finalized and is slated as per plan for release in 2009. All reports about the involvement of actors other than as mentioned above are baseless and untrue. In fact we have successfully completed a long schedule in Punjab and the film is 60 percent complete. The production of the film is as per schedule and the next schedule is in January as per plan
