Shahid becomes one of the select few top Bollywood heroes to have an opening at the box office. The 'young superstar' of Bollywood, Shahid's proved both his box office clout and his acting prowess with three back to back hits. Trade watchers are already predicting superstardom for Shahid, as they say that the time is not far when Shahid is officially acknowledged as one of the top five stars of Bollywood.

The success of Kismat Konnection overseas too has opened a huge market for Shahid in the NRI market. He is also referred as the new romantic icon, considering his huge fan base amongst the youth of the country.
