Shahrukh to direct Chak De sequel

The latest buzz in Bollywood is that there may be a sequel to Chak De India. There are also rumours that Shahrukh Khan may wear the director's hat in the movie. Surely SRK has taken a leaf out of Aamir's book who made a sensational debut as a director with Taare Zameen Par. The idea of a sequel came to Shahrukh after superb success of Chak De India. Not only did it do well in the box office but became a cult film for Indian sports.

Shahrukh is in talks with Yash Raj Films and producer Aditya Chopra for this project. Director Shimit Amin and screenwriter Jaideep Sahni are currently working on the script for the movie. The movie will begin with Shahrukh marrying a girl from the team. There are also reports that Rani Mukherjee will join the team as its female coach. The focus of the movie will remain on women's hockey in India.
