15 stitches save Shilpa Shetty

For all those who believe in 'evil eye' (buri nazar), here's a piece of news that will re-affirm your belief in the same. Shilpa Shetty aka 'Miss Long legs' was recently in the news for reasons more than one (the 'Big Brother' controversy included). But what really took the cake was her power-packed yoga DVD that she launched amidst massive fanfare, and needless to say that her never-ending legs really held the eyeballs of the viewers intact.

Now the sad news is that, it is these legs that have got hurt. The reason? Well, it was all thanks to a freak accident that Miss Shetty speaks about, in her famous blog. She says, "The whole of last week just flew experiencing this near war situation in Mumbai, the place I was born in and unconditionally love. In all this chaos, I completely forgot that I hurt my foot bad enough to get 15 stitches, in a freak accident, thanks to my big sunglasses and nose in the air; I overlooked a sharp metal piece that slit my foot, thankfully not below but over the foot!"

The sweetie Shilpa also assures that, this injury will not affect her dates for her new film Desire (an Indo-Chinese project), starring her first foreign actor Xia Yu from China. Needles to say that the svelte actress is all excited to work with him as well as the film's director R. Sarath, who happens to be a big name down south.

Shilpa aptly ends her blog stating that "Moral of the story is - Look before you leap and stay grounded!" We couldn't argue on that!
