New Delhi (ANI): Bollywood filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma's new venture Agyaat is all set to hit the theatres on August 7. This was disclosed by Varma at a promotional event and an interactive session with the media persons here last evening.
Agyaat is based on an unseen, unknown serial killer element, which threatens the members of a film unit with death.
"I thought of not showing to the audience what it is (serial killer). So only through sound effects, background score and camera movements, I have tried to create a creature. No body can see it. So I have named the movie Agyaat," he said.
The movie casts all new comers - Nitin Reddy, Priyanka Kothari aka Nisha Kothari and Ravi Kale among others. In the movie, a film unit goes to a forest for a shoot and the members find themselves lost. The shoot is put on hold when a camera malfunctions and they have to wait for a replacement.
The members of the film unit decide to go on a trek into the forest with a local guide. The guide is found mauled one night by an unseen killer and the panic and fear of the darkness of the unknown world sets in.
"Agyaat is a film in which a film unit goes to a forest and gets lost and something starts killing them one by one," he added. Imran and Vikram have scored the music to the lyrics penned by Prashant Pandey, Sandip Singh and Sarim Momin.
