“I could’ve been eaten by sharks”: Akshay Kumar

It"s not easy to perform stunts, especially underwater. Daring action hero Akshay Kumar has done that his counterparts dare not do in the much-hyped film Blue. In fact, he shot underwater with the dangerous sharks for the first time in it.

Akshay revealed that Blue should have been called Red, as his blood and that of the fish made the sea red during the shooting. He was hit by a sunken ship 150 feet under water in one of the sequences and blood oozed out of the wound. As if that"s not enough, sharks started chasing him on smelling the blood. And one shark chased him till the surface of the ocean. Luckily, one of the unit guys sensed the danger and stopped the blood from oozing out. That way he swam back to safety.

He said that he was not scared a bit when the incident took place but now he realized that anything could have happened with 40 to 45 sharks around him. He added that Blue is the most difficult film he has ever done. It was not easy to shoot under water every morning. He thinks that he cannot take a bigger challenge then this except to shoot in the space.

He knows that doing dangerous stunts could cost even his life, as he seen stunt men lose their lives because of one wrong move but he just can"t stop doing it. He said that he tried to stop it for his son but in vain. He added that it has turned an addiction.

Well, you will see your action hero performing dead-defying stunts, as Blue releases today. The film also features actors like Sanjay Dutt, Zayed Khan, Lara Dutta and Katrina Kaif. It is directed by debutante Anthony D"Souza.
