Raj
Thackeray-lead
Maharashtra
Navnirman
Sena
(MNS)
has
finally
made
peace
with
Bollywood
superstar
Amitabh
Bachchan
after
he
offered
help
to
promote
the
Marathi
film
Harishchandrachi
Factory
in
its
run
for
the
Oscars.
Amitabh
has
announced
that
he
would
support
and
promote
Harishchandrachi
Factory
by
Paresh
Mokashi
at
the
Oscars.
The
film,
which
is
based
on
how
Dadasaheb
Phalke
made
the
nation's
first
motion
picture
Raja
Harishchandra,
has
been
selected
as
India's
entry
for
the
Oscars.
The
MNS
has
welcomed
Amitabh's
latest
move.
MNS
general
secretary
Shirish
Parkar
said
that
it's
good
that
Bachchan
has
come
forward
to
support
the
film
for
Oscar
awards.
He
added
that
they
welcome
his
move.
However,
this
is
not
the
first
time
Amitabh
has
helped
Marathi
Film
Industry.
He
donated
Rs.1
lakh
to
the
makers
of
Marathi
film
Shwaas,
which
competed
at
the
Oscars
in
the
best
foreign
language
category.
He
also
produced
Marathi
film
Vihir
under
his
AB
Corporation
banner.
It
maybe
recalled
that
MNS
targeted
Amitabh
last
year,
alleging
that
he
was
more
loyal
to
UP
than
Maharashtra
though
he
got
all
the
popularity
in
the
state.
The
superstar
ended
up
apologising
to
the
outfit.
His
wife
Jaya
was
also
attacked
for
making
a
statement
at
an
event
that
she
would
speak
in
Hindi
as
she
is
from
UP.
It's
good
that
MNS
has
made
peace
with
Amitabh.
All
is
well
that
ends
well!
