No political game for Big B

Amitabh Bachchan has rubbished all rumours of his involvement in the upcoming General Elections. He stated that he had no intentions to campaign for any party in the upcoming polls. There were rumours that he may campaign for the Samajwadi Party due to his closeness with Amar Singh. His wife Jaya Bachchan is a Rajya Sabha MP from the Samajwadi Party.

Speaking to the media he said that he was not a politician and will not campaign for any party in the polls. This may be very smart movie by Amitabh as many believe his closeness to the politicians in UP has cost him dear in Mumbai. Raj Thackeray and his MNS (Maharashtra Navnirman Sena) have constantly targeted Big B and his family for their closeness to Amar Singh and his party.

Big B had short lived political career when he was elected to the Lok Sabha from Allahabad in 1984 due to his closeness with Rajiv Gandhi. He however resigned after three years when his and his brother's name came out in the Bofor's scandal that had rocked the nation. Surely Big B is not willing to burn his fingers again.
